Bea Alonzo: ‘I Try to See the Good in Every Person’

“The things that I’ve gone through made me beautiful… and I am beautiful because I know who I am inside. I try to see the beauty in every person. I try to see the good in every person,” remarked by Bea Alonzo on her one on one interview with Boy Abunda for her Olay Conversations webisode.

It is without a doubt, that Bea is one of the most beautiful of today’s generation of stars. Her beauty is timeless, flawless and elegant. But beyond the physical charm is a woman with a great heart. She’s a woman who has proven time and time again that the beauty that is being possessed outside should reflect what’s inside.

Amidst the pressure of the spotlight, Bea has remained self-aware, confident and down-to-earth. Though she is so famous now, she has maintained her private life, private. She’s making headlines not because of personal matters, but because of her achievement as an actress. Bea takes care of her career as she considers it as her calling.

In the webisode, Bea relayed that she couldn’t think of anything else to do than acting. Bea started as a talent in Star Magic. After several months of workshop, she scored her first role on a teleserye, “I became real to them, and Inang (referring to the director) saw that and they hired me.” Bea’s honesty on-cam and off-cam is one of the major key players on why she has able to make a big mark in the industry, and that stays true up to this point.

She had her fair share of struggles. She shared that she didn’t come from a well-off family. The early phase of trying to make it in the industry has been tough but she didn’t give up. When she was discovered on a beauty pageant, she persuaded her mom to give acting a shot. Though hesitant at first, her mother gave in to her daughter’s plea. Bea’s journey to stardom has begun then.

Overall, Bea is truly happy now mostly because of the people around her. More to that, to quote her in Olay Conversations happiness for her means “having to provide for someone and to know who you really are.”

Watch Olay Conversations with Bea Alonzo now and learn more about this mesmerizing star as she share her life story with Boy Abunda.

‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ Season 4 Premieres Feb 16

“Pilipinas Got Talent,” the country’s most successful talent-reality show, goes around the world in search for the best of the best global Filipino talents when it returns on Philippine television for its biggest and best season yet beginning this Saturday (Feb 16).

Talented global Filipinos from USA, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Europe, Canada, Australia, and Guam got the chance to show what they got via PGT’s global auditions. The best acts from each territory flew in the country to face the Big Three Judges— Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas, and ‘The Expert’ Freddie “FMG” Garcia. Other hopefuls were also able to audition right at their very homes by via PGT’s online auditions in partnership with Cge.tv.

“We know that Filipinos still have a lot to show especially when it comes to the talent department. That is why the PGT team decided to mount global and online auditions to give hopefuls a chance. We made this season the biggest season yet so if we really want to make it the biggest, we must also find the best talents in every possible way we can,” explained Business Unit Head, Joyce Liquicia.

From across the nation and across the globe, Filipinos are even more daring this season in showing what they can do after prior seasons of PGT raised the bars of talent. Aside from the popular acts of singing or dancing, auditionees became more innovative and creative in performing acts that have not been done on previous seasons.

“If you think Filipinos are talented with the first three seasons of PGT, wait until you watch season four because we were able to discover even more talents. From an act that fused gymnastics and wall climbing to an act that would extinguish candlelight by using the auditionee’s own fart,” executive producer, Richelle Bernal shared.

Adding up to the excitement is a whole new viewing experience as the show takes a different approach in introducing each act, tell the stories behind every auditionee, and even doing the opening number with hosts, Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford.

PGT hopefuls will face the Big Three judges in the audition stage and impress them with their acts. Once they make the cut they will automatically be shortlisted among the contestants to be included in the Judges Cull, where the judges will determine 36 acts that will advance to the Quarter Finals.

For six weeks, six acts will be pitted against one another in a talent showdown, where only two will make it through— one chosen via viewers’ text votes and one by the judges— to complete the roster of semi-finalists.

The 12 semi-finalists will again battle it out in the Semi-Final round until only six of them make the last and final cut of the competition to formally enter the Final round. Who will be the fourth grand winner of “Pilipinas Got Talent”?

Don’t miss “Pilipinas Got Talent 4” every Saturday, beginning Feb 16, after “MMK,” and every Sunday, after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN.

Dingdong Dantes belied rumors of transferring to ABS-CBN

Dingdong Dantes belied rumors that he is negotiating for a possible transfer to another network after his contract with GMA-7 expires.

Although Dingdong did not expound on the terms of his existing contract with the kapuso network and the duration of its validity, he gave the assurance that his contract with GMA-7 is still very much active and that he is still very much a kapuso.

It is not the first time that rumors have circulated in the past about the actor possibly moving to another network. The speculations even gained more ground this time when the actor recently appeared in a movie produced by the other network. But Dingdong himself says that he is still happy being a kapuso. He also said that he, personally, is not negotiating with the other network.

Meanwhile, Dindong spends most of his time taping for “Pahiram ng Sandali,” which is nearing the end of its very successful run. He says he is enjoying the experience especially because he gets to work with veteran actors like Lorna Tolentino and Christopher de Leon, whom he praises for his professionalism.

The dance number that prompted some televiewers to file complains to MTRCB was the part when Lovi and Rocco performed a very “sexy” routine on a propped-up bed.

It’s interesting to note that Lovi is the half-sister of former MTRCB Chairman Grace Poe-Llamanzares, who is running for senator in this year’s local elections.

Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe dance number in Party Pilipinas - Video

Check out the video clip featuring the controversial dance number of Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe from Party Pilipinas’ January 27 episode that put the show on MTRCB’s probation for 6 months because of some viewers’ complaints.
