‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ Season 4 Premieres Feb 16

“Pilipinas Got Talent,” the country’s most successful talent-reality show, goes around the world in search for the best of the best global Filipino talents when it returns on Philippine television for its biggest and best season yet beginning this Saturday (Feb 16).

Talented global Filipinos from USA, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Middle East, Europe, Canada, Australia, and Guam got the chance to show what they got via PGT’s global auditions. The best acts from each territory flew in the country to face the Big Three Judges— Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, Comedy Queen Ai Ai Delas Alas, and ‘The Expert’ Freddie “FMG” Garcia. Other hopefuls were also able to audition right at their very homes by via PGT’s online auditions in partnership with Cge.tv.

“We know that Filipinos still have a lot to show especially when it comes to the talent department. That is why the PGT team decided to mount global and online auditions to give hopefuls a chance. We made this season the biggest season yet so if we really want to make it the biggest, we must also find the best talents in every possible way we can,” explained Business Unit Head, Joyce Liquicia.

From across the nation and across the globe, Filipinos are even more daring this season in showing what they can do after prior seasons of PGT raised the bars of talent. Aside from the popular acts of singing or dancing, auditionees became more innovative and creative in performing acts that have not been done on previous seasons.

“If you think Filipinos are talented with the first three seasons of PGT, wait until you watch season four because we were able to discover even more talents. From an act that fused gymnastics and wall climbing to an act that would extinguish candlelight by using the auditionee’s own fart,” executive producer, Richelle Bernal shared.

Adding up to the excitement is a whole new viewing experience as the show takes a different approach in introducing each act, tell the stories behind every auditionee, and even doing the opening number with hosts, Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford.

PGT hopefuls will face the Big Three judges in the audition stage and impress them with their acts. Once they make the cut they will automatically be shortlisted among the contestants to be included in the Judges Cull, where the judges will determine 36 acts that will advance to the Quarter Finals.

For six weeks, six acts will be pitted against one another in a talent showdown, where only two will make it through— one chosen via viewers’ text votes and one by the judges— to complete the roster of semi-finalists.

The 12 semi-finalists will again battle it out in the Semi-Final round until only six of them make the last and final cut of the competition to formally enter the Final round. Who will be the fourth grand winner of “Pilipinas Got Talent”?

Don’t miss “Pilipinas Got Talent 4” every Saturday, beginning Feb 16, after “MMK,” and every Sunday, after “Rated K” on ABS-CBN.
